Our Story
Journey to Heal Ministries exists to help women heal from past sexual abuse through hope in Jesus Christ, and to equip the church to do the same. We launched in 2018 in response to the growing need for Christ-centered, Biblically-based support for women.
Through our eight-week Journey to Heal program, women receive trauma-informed, Gospel-centered, support and community they desperately need. They realize they’re not alone and there is hope for healing. To date we’ve walked over 750 women through our 8-week program, with several who have also trained to lead our program in their local church.
We believe the local church is the best place for a Journey to Heal Group, providing a safe place for women to find hope and healing, so they can live a better story!
Our Mission
To help women heal from past sexual abuse by leading them to hope in Jesus Christ, through providing trauma-informed support, education, and community
Our Vision
For all women impacted by past sexual abuse to have access to the Journey to Heal Women’s Study within their local church or community
Our Board of Directors
Our board of directors is unique in that each of our members has been impacted by sexual trauma. Each has a personal interest in furthering our mission to provide help, hope, and healing for all women who have been through past sexual abuse.
Our Ministry Partners
Ministry Partners are local churches and nonprofit organizations who have linked arms with us to provide the Journey to Heal Women’s Study to women in their local communities.
Jesus said, “The Spirit of the Lord is on me because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free” (Luke 4:18 NIV).
Our Heart for Women
To heal the brokenhearted and set captives free…
Since we began this ministry years ago, we have led hundreds of women locally and globally through our 8-week program, either 1:1 or through our online or in-person Journey to Heal groups. We’ve trained many individuals, counselors, and ministry leaders to do the same. At the heart of all we do we endeavor to serve Jesus Christ - who came to heal the broken-hearted and to set captives free (Isaiah 61:1).
